METAL ETCHING
Artist Prints 1-4 :
Each artist print shows different stages of my printing process.
AP #1 is the first print that was pulled, after seeing how light the print came out I decided to let the plate sit in the acid for a longer period of time in order for the design to come out darker.
AP #2 shows a print that has too much ink still in the design. This print shows me that more ink needs to be wiped away in order for the line work of the design to be better seen.
Artist Prints #3 and #4 are attempts at creating the background texture I desired.
The 3rd AP is a fairly clean print but I wiped away too much background ink resulting in little to no background texture left on the print.
The 4th AP shows that I did not remove enough ink from the background, this resulted in too much texture that is distracting to the overall print.
